Solving Saint Paul’s Fiscal Challenges with Urban3

  • The Minnesota Museum of American Art (The M 350 Robert Street North Saint Paul, MN, 55101 United States (map)

Join us at the Minnesota Museum of American Art (The M) on Thursday evening, March 26th from 7-8:30pm for a presentation about the impacts of land use regulation on Saint Paul’s economic sustainability.

At Sustain Saint Paul, we know that helping our neighborhoods become denser and more walkable isn’t just about climate action: it’s our city’s best tool to expand its property tax revenue base and overcome its fiscal challenges. On March 26th, Heather Worthington (an urban planning expert from Urban3 and a Saint Paul resident) will use powerful visual examples to help attendees see clearly the relationship between sustainable land use and our City and County’s ability to function. (Check out this two-minute video to get a sense of the presentation Heather will give or open the Presentation PDF from Heather’s recent presentation to the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners at this link.)

The presentation will begin around 7:15, so please try to arrive on time! The Minnesota Museum of American Art is located in the Pioneer-Endicott Building downtown; the entrance is on Robert Street between 4th and 5th Streets, just a few blocks from two Green Line stations and several bus routes. If you plan to drive a car downtown, you can pay to park in the Jackson Street ramp or Lowertown ramp two blocks away, or find a parking spot on the street.
