A patchwork of local laws and overregulation doesn’t make sense for builders, families, or our state. Layers of bureaucracy, overcomplicated and often contradictory rules, and local micromanagement add untold costs to builders and drive up prices for prospective homebuyers and renters across Minnesota. That’s why one of our top priorities this upcoming legislative session is the Yes2Homes bill package, which will bring basic standards that make it easier to build infill development like duplexes and accessory dwelling units - mostly changes we have already successfully implemented in Saint Paul - to the entire state.

Then, consider joining us and our coalition partners like Neighbors for More Neighbors, ISAIAH, the Sierra Club, and MHP on February 23rd at 10am at the MN Capitol Rotunda. We will gather for MHP’s Start with Home Rally before splitting up at 11:30am to deliver the petitions to key legislators.
