Sibling Rivalry Fundraiser: Neighbors for More Neighbors versus Sustain Saint Paul
Thursday, September 25 · 6PM
Black Hart of Saint Paul
Tickets $25
Entertainment and Food Provided
Later this month we're teaming up with our friends (and friendly rivals!) Neighbors for More Neighbors for a joint fundraiser at the Black Hart of Saint Paul.
Join your neighbors, housing advocates, transit fans, biking nerds, environmentalists, and urbanists from across the Twin Cities for an evening of live comedy, drinks, conversation, light-hearted competition, and a high-stakes fundraising face-off to see which city can raise the most for the cause of dense, walkable, livable neighborhoods. Let’s put Saint Paul where it belongs—on top!
Tickets to the event will cost $25 (or pay-what-you-can), and local food will be provided (caterer TBA).
A full list of speakers will be announced soon, but we are excited to announce three of our champions who will take the stage to represent Saint Paul -
Nate Hood: Planning Commissioner and Stand-up Comedian. Follow on X @natehoodstp.
Wes Burdine: Owner of Black Hart, Cofounder of MN Aurora. Follow on bluesky @wesburdine.bsky.social
Molly Coleman: New Sustain-Endorsed Ward 4 City Councilmember, Founder of People’s Parity Project. Follow on bluesky @mollycoleman.bsky.social.
Over the past year, Sustain has been busy: from collaborating on statewide policy with the Yes2Homes coalition to championing local efforts like Traditional Neighborhood zoning and the Summit Avenue Utility Replacement and Regional Trail. We've also grown our grassroots base with new issue committees, trainings, and expanded outreach online. If you've noticed our increased presence—this is how it happens. Every dollar raised goes directly into this work: supporting staff time, campaign materials, and community organizing.

I think this is the start of a Beautiful Friendship…
This September fundraiser isn’t the only thing Sustain is collaborating with Neighbors for more Neighbors on! We are also thrilled to announce our FREE joint Fall Organizer Training Series designed to grow your relational organizing skills, investing in yourself and your work within our community and beyond!
Whether you’re brand new to organizing or a seasoned veteran, this training will make you a more effective advocate for housing justice, help you build stronger connections to your community, and give you a toolbox for creating meaningful action.
This free 3-part Training Cohort begins with an in-person training on October 11th and is open to anyone who is interested. You do not need to be able to attend all three to sign up. RSVP below!
