Land Value Tax Resolution

Precinct Caucuses are tomorrow, February 3rd, at 6:30pm and it will be an excellent opportunity to advocate for a revenue-neutral Land Value Tax: a powerful policy for encouraging sustainable land use, walkability, and a resilient tax base.πŸ˜οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ“ˆ

At caucuses you can present an issue for the party to support called a resolution. If you convince enough other attendees to support your resolution, it will be taken to the next convention and could even become part of the official party platform. We need your help to advance Land Value TaxπŸ—³οΈ

Through LVT, property owners could be taxed primarily on the value of land itself rather than the property built on top. This encourages smart land use, density, and a strong tax base while disincentivizing land speculation and absenteeism in landlords. See the one-pagers below for more information.

We need your help to submit this resolution at your local caucus. Simply print it off, fill in your personal information, bring the copy with you to caucus, and notify the Caucus Chair you have a resolution. You can find prepared resolutions for all major parties below.

Can’t make it to caucus? You can submit a resolution with a non-attendee form. Simply give them to a trusted neighbor who is planning to attend, and ask them to hand it in at caucus.
