Jacob Hooper - Director of Operations and Advocacy
Jacob Hooper moved to Saint Paul in 2013 to pursue education at Hamline University, where he got a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Political Science. He has loved city-living ever since visiting family in the Twin Cities from his small hometown in rural Wisconsin as a child. His fascination in urbanism as policy blossomed when he read Progress and Poverty by Henry George in High School. Now a renter in the Como neighborhood, he is passionate about housing affordability, community connectivity, and being able to buy groceries in walking distance.
Jacob’s professional background is in political organizing, in the past having specialized primarily in local immigrant campaigns across the Metro and Greater MN. When not engaging in politics, you can find him playing chess, watching old movies, or even on stage as a sometime professional actor.
